Healing Foods Cooking Classes teach participants how to prepare easy and healthy recipes using foods that promote health and help fight disease. Classes taught by Susan Faerber and other members of the Prevention Program include demonstration, discussion about ingredients and cooking methods, tasting, and recipes. For more information about the classes, you can watch this video clip CBS-8. Monthly Lectures Classes are offered each month on nutrition by Vicky Newman, MS, RD, Director of Nutrition Services, Cancer Prevention & Control Program, Associate Clinical Professor, Voluntary, Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. “Fighting Cancer with Your Fork” provides a practical overview of nourishing foods essential for health and healing with tips on how to incorporate these easily into your life.
